AMW expands management team for strategic expansion course

AMW GmbH, a pharmaceutical company specializing in innovative drug delivery systems, today announced the expansion of its management team to implement its strategic growth strategy. After taking over the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) from Philipp Karbach in June of this year, Sebastian Herzog is strengthening the management team with his many years of industry expertise in the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO). Financial expert Matthias Dittmer takes over the Finance and IT division as Vice President.
Sebastian Herzog has headed the Operations division as COO since April 2023 and is driving the strategic expansion of the AMW site in Warngau in his new position. His area of responsibility includes the Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operational Excellence and Logistics departments. As an experienced executive with global expertise in the chemical-pharmaceutical and consumer health industries, he has shaped transformation processes in various companies, including the Ontex Group, Gruenenthal GmbH and Bayer AG. Throughout his career, he gained significant experience in the areas of lean manufacturing, supply chain, project engineering and quality. Mr. Herzog holds a Master of Business Administration in Production Management from Koblenz University of Applied Sciences as well as education and training degrees in engineering and chemical process engineering.
Matthias Dittmer, Vice President Finance and IT, assumed responsibility for this area in October 2023. In his previous positions at Eurofins Scientific, TE Connectivity and Sirona Dental Systems, among others, he gained extensive experience in controlling and financial reporting, as well as the implementation of ERP systems in complex, highly regulated industries with international group structures. Mr. Dittmer holds a degree in economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, Germany.
